Racing

International racing started in the 1990ies when the individual racing scenes first met for races. Today there are usually multiple Eurocups every year in different countries. These form the backbone of international racing. Typically they are done as two day events with competitions over shorter distances (e.g. sprint or criterium) on the first day and a long race on the second day. You can find an explanation of the different races on our subpage on the race formats.

Further there are European Championships and World Championships, held every other year in an alternating fashion, so only one Championship is held every year.

The results of the Eurocups and the Championship are aggregated into final points standings, where the position reached by an athlete in a race determines the number of points obtained.
